Village Voice Assets Acquired by Voice Media Group

Village Voice Media Holdings announced in a release today that it will be selling its print and online properties to the Voice Media Group. The deal also includes the national advertising arm of Village Voice Media. The buyers will continue to serve local markets with print publications, while attempting to expand the brand's digital presence. Village Voice Media's the Backpage.com, a classified ads site, will not be a part of the deal. The site will continue on, however, as its own entity.
