Perficient Named a 2020 Microsoft Health Innovation Award Winner

ST. LOUIS–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Perficient, Inc. (Nasdaq: PRFT) (“Perficient”), the leading global digital consultancy transforming the world’s largest enterprises and biggest brands, today announced that it has been recognized by Microsoft as a 2020 Health Innovation Award winner in the “Enable Personalized Care” category.

The awards recognize health organizations and their technology solution partners for using Microsoft’s technology solutions in innovative ways to help enable personalized care, empower care teams, improve operational outcomes, protect health information, and ultimately reimagine healthcare. The 2020 winners are impacting the industry by creating breakthrough solutions that advance health and life sciences organizations, while meeting global, local, and industry-specific compliance and security standards.

“We are honored to be recognized with this Health Innovation Award from Microsoft,” said Juliet Silver, healthcare Chief Strategist, Perficient. “Digital transformation is pushing the boundaries of traditional healthcare models with offerings like telemedicine, virtual visits, and patient-specific portals quickly becoming standard expected services. Our approach to digital healthcare combines strategy, data, technology, and design to streamline internal processes and deliver personalized experiences for patients that improve quality of care.”

Perficient Improves the Digital Health Experience for One of the Largest U.S. Healthcare Systems

Today’s healthcare organizations must invest to meet consumers’ rising expectations for convenient and customized digital services. They must also deliver positive experiences at every touchpoint throughout the patient journey to help optimize clinical outcomes. One of the largest healthcare systems in the United States partnered with Perficient to develop a unified digital experience that provides a personalized and seamless end-to-end experience for patients.

Perficient created a new Sitecore-based platform deployed on Microsoft Azure to support customization while incorporating functionality that makes it easier for users to find a doctor, book an appointment online, and manage self-service tasks through a patient portal. Perficient then leveraged the continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) capabilities of Azure DevOps to standardize the user experience, interface, and content across the site. Using Azure Search and other Azure PaaS services, Perficient implemented a full release strategy that allowed deployment and testing to occur with no disruption to end-users and Sitecore content authors. To access the data needed to create a unique experience for each user, Perficient also accelerated the deployment of Microsoft Dynamics 365 and facilitated its integration with multiple technology platforms and services throughout the organization.

The healthcare system now has a centralized location where it can access near real-time data to deliver highly personalized patient experiences based on a user’s activity. As a result, the healthcare system has realized an increase in user interactions and bookings with the platform as well as in provider enrollments.

Perficient is a trusted end-to-end digital partner with more than 20 years of experience delivering digital technology solutions to leading enterprises, including healthcare payer, provider, and pharmaceutical organizations. With a focus on the healthcare consumer experience, Perficient helps healthcare organizations design and implement solutions that enable interoperability, satisfy regulatory requirements, leverage key data insights, and improve quality of care.

“During this both challenging and transformational time in the healthcare industry, organizations are using technology to profoundly impact how they deliver care, evolve business operations, and help people,” said Patty Obermaier, Microsoft Vice President of U.S. Health and Life Sciences. “This year’s Microsoft Health Innovation Award recipients are advancing the goals of improved patient engagement and care coordination through their innovative use of Microsoft devices, platforms and cloud and AI services.”

Nominations were submitted by health providers, payers, pharmaceutical and life science organizations, and public and private health institutions across the world for applying Microsoft technology to create transformative and highly-effective innovations. An esteemed panel of industry experts selected this year’s winners based on how their innovations represented a forward-thinking development or implementation of a solution that is delivering groundbreaking results and producing better health outcomes for more people. Recipients will be highlighted on the Microsoft in Health blog at www.Microsoft.com/Health.
