Veritex Bank Adds William Fallon as a New Board Member

DALLAS–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Veritex Community Bank has added a breadth of experience to its Board of Directors with the addition of William E. Fallon, former executive vice president for PNC Bank. Mr. Fallon is a 40-year banking veteran with PNC Financial Services Group and its subsidiary, PNC Bank, NA. During his career at PNC, he oversaw the institution of PNC’s Portfolio Management function, served as its Chief Commercial Credit Officer, and was responsible for the valuation of the wholesale loan portfolios of bank holding companies acquired by PNC. Mr. Fallon retired from PNC in July 2018. In addition to his pedigree resume as a banker, Mr. Fallon was a leader in the United States Golf Association where he held multiple leadership roles in the USGA and the Western Pennsylvania Golf Association.

“To achieve our long-term growth goals, we need to ensure that the bank can scale its ability to deliver best-in-class operations and service. The addition of Bill as a board member brings skilled leadership to our bank so that we can serve the needs of an ever-changing business environment,” said Malcolm Holland, Veritex Bank’s President and CEO. “Bill certainly is comfortable facing these types of business challenges. But Bill is more than that. His leadership role in the USGA has given him a unique skillset, an applied understanding of the critical importance of structure, organization, clarity and fairness. That, combined with his 40+ years in banking, is what makes Bill an extraordinary addition to the Veritex community.”

“I couldn’t be happier to become a part of the Veritex Bank team,” said Bill Fallon. “Veritex Bank is an extraordinary bank; it is as good in person as it is on paper. Veritex is financially healthy, incredibly well-managed and culturally sound. The bank is well-positioned to grow and thrive in the Texas marketplace. I am proud to be joining a dedicated team of professionals who share a common vision and all work together to achieve it.”

Bill earned a BBA in Management from the University of Notre Dame and an MBA in Finance & Organizational Behavior from The Ohio State University. He serves on the board of directors of the Pittsburgh Zoo and PPG Aquarium with assignments on the executive, finance and strategic planning committees. Fallon served as a member of the USGA Regional Affairs Committee and was a Rules official for the Western Pennsylvania Golf Association. He previously served as general chairman of the 2003 U.S. Amateur, group chairman of the 2007 U.S. Open and vice chairman of the 2010 U.S. Women’s Open.
