In 2014, Brent was left blindsided by an abrupt and unexpected end to what he thought, at the time, was going to be a growing partnership. From there, he had two choices – go out and make it on his own or find a job.

The Inevitable: Risk vs. Reward

Naturally, when starting a new business taking risks are inevitable, and as a founder, you will eventually come face to face with some difficult decisions.

When it came time to start meeting with clients, Brent made the decision to only work with companies that he was able to meet in person. It was important for him to ensure that core values aligned well with each client that he worked with.

Initially, this decision had cost him a lot of time and money, but rather than letting that be a barrier, Brent was able to overlook this hurdle and envision the much bigger picture. He was able to meet with each client, gain trust and establish a strong working relationship which was risky in the moment but paid off tenfold in the long run.

Deal Defining Moment

By 2017 Brent had landed his biggest payment of $120k for 3 placements at one company. This was a monumental moment where Brent realized the success that was to come by helping people get what they want.

At this point, all of the hard work that went into those first 2.5 years leading up to that deal-defining moment was justified and has since been nothing but an uphill climb for the company.
