Adam Spencer is the Subject of a New In-Depth Interview
The Serial Entrepreneur and President and Founder of AbleDocs Sat Down for a Discussion About the Struggles and Successes He Encountered in the Process of Building His Company
OAKVILLE, ON / ACCESSWIRE / June 7, 2021 / It is with great pleasure that Adam Spencer, the president and founder of AbleDocs, announces that he is the subject of a new in-depth interview. The interview, which was conducted by an online periodical that concentrates on matters relating to entrepreneurship and business, touches on topics ranging from team management to his company’s future.
Early in the interview, upon being asked to give an example of an important management lesson he has learned, Adam responds by extolling the virtues of listening to his employees. ‘A team that is run by a dictator, and I would put my old self in that category, is a team run by an iron fist. That doesn’t work,’ he says, adding that effective managers ‘prioritize collaboration, listening, and getting feedback’ and must ‘realize that you are only as strong as your team and your team is only as strong as you.’
Responding to a question about a professional misstep he has taken, Adam Spencer recalls the beginning of his career and muses philosophically, ‘I would not put unconditional trust in people’, noting that it is wise to ‘(d)ocument everything’ and ‘(m)ake sure that you have that independent voice, whether it be a lawyer, an accountant, or a third-party’ weigh in on major decisions.
Regarding where he sees his company in 5 years, Spencer replies, ‘I think we’re continuing on this amazing journey of bringing the best and brightest in our field under the AbleDocs umbrella, continuing our global reach, and I’m hoping that we’re inching closer and closer to making ourselves obsolete.’ As a means of clarifying that surprising statement, Adam Spencer elaborates, ‘We want to be able to deliver software that doesn’t need us to fix things to be accessible from the word go. That’s really the commitment we’ve made to each other as a company.’
