Rob Pahlavan Joins Priority Ambulance as Chief Technology Strategy Officer
KNOXVILLE, Tenn.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Priority Ambulance, (“Priority” or “the Company”) announced today that healthcare technology and services veteran Rob Pahlavan has joined the Company as Chief Technology Strategy Officer. In this newly created role, Pahlavan will focus on refining and implementing the Company’s vision and strategy to integrate technology as a channel in a multi-pronged approach for next-generation mobile integrated health care.
“We are pleased to welcome Rob to the Priority team and look forward to working together as we continue to raise the bar for health care technology innovation,” said Chief Executive Officer Bryan Gibson. “Priority has established itself as a trusted provider of quality service and clinical excellence in pre-hospital settings. We believe there are significant opportunities ahead to build upon this foundation and capitalize on new ways to deliver end-to-end, integrated care through advanced technology platforms. Rob’s skills complement our strong executive team and will allow us to better meet the evolving needs of patients, providers, communities and insurers.”
Pahlavan’s career as a health care technology entrepreneur and strategist includes experience in medication management, home health, hospice care, health care information technology and electronic health records.
“Bryan and the team at Priority have a unique and compelling vision for what a premier patient-centric health care company should look like, and I’m excited to help make it a reality,” said Pahlavan. “Priority is already leveraging technology in new ways, for instance by integrating logistics software StatCall into their medical transportation offerings, and I believe that’s truly the tip of the iceberg in terms of what this company and its management team will be able to do with technology solutions. As the services across the continuum of care begin to embrace what modern health care can truly be, I’m excited to support Priority’s continued evolution.”
Prior to joining Priority, Pahlavan was chief executive officer and co-founder of Boston-based Integrated Medication Management where he oversaw in-home care, pharmacy, drug therapy, medication management, home delivery and remote care management for more than 2,000 patients. He is also co-founder of Believe Home Care, a rapidly growing technology-enabled home-care provider serving high-risk patients.
Additionally, he served as chief executive officer of Casamba Home & Hospice (formerly HealthWyse), where he led the company through its transformation into an industry leader with more than 140 agencies in 45 states. Prior to becoming CEO at Casamba, Pahlavan’s private investment firm Family Equity Partners, LLC participated in the company’s investor group, which was managed by Pahlavan.
Pahlavan holds a Master of Business Administration from Stanford University School of Business and a bachelor’s degree from Vanderbilt University.
