The Joseph Fund of Camden Announces Bridging the Gap Gala to Address Learning Loss

The Joseph Fund of Camden announces the return of their annual gala to be an in-person event addressing learning loss and the education gap among Camden’s youth.

MULLICA HILL, NJ / ACCESSWIRE / July 20, 2021 / The Joseph Fund of Camden, a nonprofit organization committed to empowering Camden’s youth through education has announced the return of their annual gala. The Bridging the Gap Gala addresses the learning loss students are experiencing as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic and how it has worsened the already existing education gap within the community.

‘We are excited to be able to announce to our community our renewed focus on providing educational opportunities to the children of Camden. It will be great to see our supporters again, in a safe and responsible environment, while having some very important conversations around learning loss in the post-COVID environment. Now more than ever the children of Camden need our help in bridging the learning gap and we believe getting our supporters back together is a great first step,’ explains the executive director, Brian Riggs.

The Bridging the Gap Gala will be held on Saturday, September 18th at Franklin’s View by Cescaphe in Philadelphia. The event will feature live entertainment, guest speakers including The Joseph Fund scholarship alumni and students. There will be hors d’oeuvres and various food stations as well as an open bar. The gala will be cocktail attire and provide guests an opportunity to reconnect with friends, peers, and colleagues. Tickets to the event and sponsorship opportunities are now available through www.josephfundcamden.org/2021-gala.

Robert Kennedy of The Kennedy Companies explains his reason for becoming a presenting sponsor, ‘The Kennedy Companies are proud to be the Presenting Sponsor of this year’s Bridging the Gap Gala. It is with this pride our colleagues feel compelled to give back, and to provide a positive impact to those children who simply need an educational hand up. We at Kennedy firmly believe future opportunities can and will abound for Camden’s youth in strong partnership with The Joseph Fund’s emphasis on educational assistance, literacy and encouragement of learning’.
