Juneau Construction Completes Tampa Projects

Lector 85 in Ybor City prepares to welcome residents soon

TAMPA, Fla.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Juneau Construction Company, one of the fastest growing construction firms in the Southeast, has completed two inaugural projects in Tampa: Lector 85 mixed-use multifamily in Ybor City, which is now leasing with its final phase of units opening this month, and the renovation of Norwegian Cruise Lines’ Creative Studios, which was completed in late 2020.

Juneau partnered with Milhaus to bring Lector 85 to Ybor City. Located at 2409 East 2^nd Ave off Adamo Drive in Tampa, the $39 million mixed-use project consists of two four-story buildings totaling 254 units. The north building houses apartments and studio lofts wrapped around a 285-space precast parking deck. The south building includes resident amenities such as fitness center, outdoor pool, lobby and storage rooms, along with ground level retail space. Design was provided by Curts Gaines Hall Jones Architects.

Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) secured Juneau for the renovation of its Tampa training center. The buildout, completed in late 2020, consisted of office and administrative spaces, music rehearsal rooms with recording studios, two large training rooms, and a unique area where entertainers can practice nightly shows, all utilized by NCL’s entertainment staff. The $3.3 million project was designed by Baker Barrios Architects and totaled 35,000 square feet.

Atlanta-based and woman-owned, Juneau Construction Company is led by former Tampa residents, Nancy and Les Juneau, who launched their newest office in Tampa in 2019 to help expand its Central Florida presence. The company also has a South Florida office in Miami.
