Helbiz to Showcase E-Scooters at Fifth Annual CoMotion Conference in Los Angeles

Event brings together leaders from across the entire landscape of emerging mobility

NEW YORK–(BUSINESS WIRE)–#HelbizHelbiz Inc. (NASDAQ: HLBZ), a global leader in micro-mobility and the first in its industry to be publicly listed on Nasdaq, together with the biggest names in transportation and technology, will take part in the fifth annual, CoMotion LA conference from November 16-18, 2021. The company will showcase its e-scooters alongside partners Drover AI and Swiftmile, to demonstrate the benefits of both technologies.

“We are excited to participate in this year’s CoMotion conference,” said Salvatore Palella, CEO of Helbiz. “The rapid adoption of micro-mobility innovations proves we are entering a new era of transportation. We look forward to having our safe, sustainable and innovative e-scooters on display at CoMotion and welcome attendees to join us at our booth for a test ride.”

Helbiz has partnered with Drover AI to improve safety and reduce sidewalk clutter. The advanced PathPilot technology is powered by artificial intelligence and computer vision to locate the surroundings of e-scooters, detecting sidewalk, street or bike lane riding. It also verifies proper parking areas in real-time, which will reduce disorder on the streets and potential blocking of ADA ramps. Helbiz will first implement the Drover AI technology in Italy early next year.

“CoMotion LA is a dynamic event that does a wonderful job of showcasing the rapidly evolving mobility sector and attracts the best and brightest in the business,” said Alex Nesic, Co-Founder & Chief Business Officer at Drover AI. “Drover is excited to be able to participate and showcase our PathPilot technology in partnership with Helbiz who is also constantly evolving and innovating to make shared micro-mobility safer and more responsible.”

Helbiz also partnered with Swiftmile, a pioneer and market leader in the LEV charging market to promote docked charging stations and assure connectivity at transit hubs, and to further reduce scooter clutter on city streets.

“Helbiz is committed to promoting Swiftmile hubs to its users by offering a discount for ending a ride at a hub and plugging in their e-scooter to charge,” said Leo Vera, President of Swiftmile. “Helbiz app users will be able to see nearby Swiftmile charging locations and their capacity on the map.”

Helbiz is rapidly expanding into new markets with more than 40 secured licenses across the United States and Europe, further cementing its role as a global leader in the micro-mobility industry. CoMotion LA will bring together other committed leaders from across the entire landscape of emerging mobility for interactive talks, demos, and workshops that will leave attendees with unparalleled insight into this more impactful phase of the Mobility Revolution.
