In what Pitbull hopes to be the first of many, Pitbull has teamed up with Voorhees Animal Orphanage (VAO) in New Jersey, USA. Pitbull seeks to expand the way charitable donations can be made, and by innovating this area, Pitbull is pleased to announce that VAO will soon accept donations in Pitbull Token form as well. This partnership will start off with a donation to the shelter of $10,000 which was made today, and a commitment to contribute a total sum of $100,000 over the next year. On top of that, the ability to donate to the VAO, using Pitbull Tokens directly, will be available soon. That means that every member of the Pitbull community will be able to donate to this very worthy cause using their own tokens. We at Pitbull believe this is the beginning of a transition from how global citizens can donate to shelters and clinics worldwide. The ability to donate to VAO using the Pitbull Token, will be the first of many animal focused charities, clinics and shelters that will accept Pitbull Tokens directly. Pitbull’s team has created a specific wallet for these donations. The multi-sig wallet will be owned by the moderators of the community and every charitable donation will be visible on the blockchain, to maintain efficiency and transparency. Donations contributed to the wallet will be transferred directly to the respective animal shelter, clinic or other organization. Donations are now being accepted to VAO, as they prepare to be the first of many shelters and clinics globally to accept Pitbull Tokens.

The Voorhees Animal Orphanage (“VAO”) is a 501-c-3, non-profit Municipal Animal Shelter dedicated to providing shelter, food and medical care to stray and unwanted animals until permanent homes can be found. We are an open-intake animal shelter serving 26 municipalities in Southern New Jersey, 19 of which are in Camden County. Although the Voorhees Animal Orphanage serves almost half of Camden County, NJ, we do not receive any operational or financial support from the County.
