MoSys LineSpeed Solution Chosen by ZRI-Tech to Power Their Latest Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing App

SAN JOSE, CA / ACCESSWIRE / December 14, 2021 / MoSys, Inc. (NASDAQ:MOSY) is focused on Accelerating Data Intelligence and provides both semiconductor and IP solutions that enable fast, intelligent data access for Cloud, networking, security, communications and 5G systems. Today, MoSys announced that ZRI-Tech, a supplier of video and optical transmission technology solutions, has chosen the MoSys LineSpeed MSH322S Multi-Link Gearbox (MLG) IC to power their latest Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM) product.

The MoSys MSH322S MLG IC solution was chosen specifically to power ZRI-Tech’s Dense 10Gb Link aggregation and transport across standard 100Gb optics. ZRI chose the MLG because of the product’s many benefits including:

  • Competitive pricing, advanced performance, and production availability
  • Support for OIF MLG 1.0 standard, with 10 x 10GbE link aggregation over 100G ports
  • Compliance with IEEE and OIF 10G, 25G, and 100G electrical standards
  • Strong, self-adapting RX equalizer and TX emphasis reduces high-speed I/O risk
  • Pre-validated device configurations and firmware for ease of system bring-up

As a supplier in the optical and video transmission field, the customer needed the robust set of features that only the MoSys MSH322S MLG IC solution can provide. Production is scheduled for the first half of CY2022.

“We are pleased that ZRI-Tech chose our advanced MSH322S MLG IC device to power their solutions,” said Daniel Lewis, MoSys CEO. “Using the MoSys products, we believe they will be able to achieve their design goals and product schedules.”

“We are excited to be working with MoSys and using the MoSys LineSpeed MSH322S MLG device to power our most demanding DWDM applications,” said Chengzhi Jia, ZRI-Tech CTO. “MoSys offered the most competitive pricing, advanced performance, and production availability that we needed.

As physical interfaces on switching and packet processing ICs move beyond 10Gb/s serial interfaces for performance and board density, MoSys’s MLG function allows large-scale systems and networks built with these devices to support higher port counts of 10GbE interfaces while maintaining overall system performance and port throughput. MoSys believes MSH322S is an ideal device for the existing and growing 10Gb Ethernet market space for link aggregation within the 5G infrastructure.
