Lendmark Financial Services Strengthens C-Suite with Three Strategic Roles

Company Debuts New Chief Capital Markets Officer, Appoints Chief Privacy and Information Security Officer, and Announces Successor to Chief Information Officer

ATLANTA–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Lendmark Financial Services (Lendmark), a leading provider of household credit and consumer loan solutions, has initiated two new roles on its Executive Leadership Team with the appointment of Mark Lawrence as Chief Privacy and Information Security Officer and promotion of Kent Tuholsky as its new Chief Capital Markets Officer. Succeeding Lawrence is Zaheer Khan, who has been promoted to Chief Information Officer. All appointments are effective immediately.

“Now more than ever, it’s imperative that we have the depth and breadth of expertise on our executive leadership team to ensure we remain well-positioned for future growth. The appointments of Kent, Mark and Zaheer demonstrate not only our bench strength but how their talents will enable expanded and more strategic oversight of our capital solutions, technology, and privacy and information security measures – all of which are paramount to our continued successes,” said Bobby Aiken, founder and CEO of Lendmark.

Chief Capital Markets Officer:

Tuholsky, an industry veteran with more than 30 years of corporate finance and management experience, joined Lendmark in 2016 as executive vice president of Corporate Treasury. In his promotion to the newly created role of Chief Capital Markets Officer, Tuholsky is responsible for funding a $3 billion-plus balance sheet and providing liquidity for a business growing at more than 10% per year through the development of a strategically reliable financial roadmap.

He will implement long-term working capital solutions that provide critical funding growth, as well as ensure adequate financial compliance and oversight. Additionally, Tuholsky will provide leadership and executive oversight for various finance teams, including Treasury, Capital Markets, and Financial Planning/Analysis.

An alum of California State University – Northridge, Tuholsky holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration. He also completed a Strategic CFO Series on Finance and Financial Management Service from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Chief Privacy and Information Security Officer:

Lawrence, who has served as Lendmark’s Chief Information Officer since 2013, will now lead our newly formed, enterprise-wide privacy and information security practice – a critically important component of our business as fraudulent activity remains prevalent across varied industries.

Lawrence will be responsible for ensuring the continued confidentiality and adequate protection of highly sensitive data, minimizing risk to customers, partners, employees, business practices and operations, and enterprise IT systems. He also will have oversight of the organization’s privacy practices in accordance and compliance with all applicable local, state, county, federal, and industry-specific laws and regulations.

With more than 35 years of professional IT experience, Lawrence also has spent 21-plus years of it within the financial services industry. He’s a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and has a proven record of accomplishment in key areas including IT management, mergers and acquisitions, voice/data infrastructure, operations, and facilities management. Lawrence earned a Bachelor of Science degree from The University of Georgia.

Chief Information Officer:

Khan has been promoted to Chief Information Officer, succeeding Lawrence. With over 20 years of experience in the field of information technology, Khan possesses expertise in IT infrastructure, security, data platforms, and system integrations.

In his new capacity, Khan will lead the development and integration of technological solutions across the company. His responsibilities include ensuring the smooth operation of information technology, including the uninterrupted functioning of IT systems and introduction of new tools aimed at empowering both employees and customers. Additionally, he will oversee all technology budgets and expenditures.

Khan joined Lendmark in 2013 and has progressed through various leadership positions, most recently serving as Chief Technology Officer, where he led IT infrastructure, data services, and the security team. He earned a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering from the National Technical University of Ukraine and completed a master’s degree in business administration at Emory University’s Goizueta Business School.
