The Brooklyn-Based Jewelry Start-Up Demanding a Spot in the Mainstream
SAN FRANCISCO, CA / ACCESSWIRE / December 8, 2021 / The up-and-coming New York-based jewelry boutique, Essentials Jewels, has a mission to make all of their clients feel the very best, all of the time. The company specializes in earrings, necklaces, rings, bracelets, anklets, and personalized pieces and is continuing to implement new styles by the week.
After being pushed out of the corporate world amidst the global pandemic, founders and creators, Rebecca and Milo Tawil were inspired to make an impact through their own form of creative expression, jewelry. Rebecca has found a newfound passion for work since teaming up with her mother, describing the experience in detail, “There’s nothing in the world like working side by side with my mom, there’s no one I trust more in my life. We always have fun and she inspires me every single day.” Rebecca’s ecstatic to continue the journey alongside her mother and wouldn’t want to continue building Essentials Jewels with anyone else.
The business idea stemmed from Rebecca’s childhood, filled with trauma in the form of mental health issues and weight insecurities. She developed an early attraction to jewelry because she always felt comfortable in it in a way that she never did when it came to clothes. As she continued to grow and work on her mental health over the years, she became more comfortable in her body and more confident when it came to expressing herself. As a result, Rebecca has developed deep values for mental health awareness and wants to do everything in her power to contribute to people like her younger self enduring adversity. This deep-rooted inspiration combined with her proven work ethic and sudden career deviation led to her taking the initiative of starting her own business.
Essentials Jewels has since grown rapidly. The team has gifted several A-List celebrities and received nothing but positive feedback. Most recently, they’ve implemented the addition of a personalized jewelry department that has pieces available on-site and online for their customers, the line is designed strategically to be given as a gift, entirely customizable. Tawil is ecstatic to be engaging an audience of like-minded customers while bringing joy and comfort to their lives through fashion. She loves to see new faces in her Brooklyn storefront and looks to continue growing traction on her socials and online store in the New Year.
