NEACH Announces Connie Loveland of Fidelity Bank as New Board Chair

BURLINGTON, Mass.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–The New England Automated Clearing House (NEACH) today announced the appointment of Connie Loveland, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of Fidelity Bank in Leominster, Mass., to its board of directors as board chair. Loveland will serve as chairperson for a two-year term, expiring May 2022. The NEACH board oversees the governance and administration of the organization and addresses topics of strategic significance to NEACH and its members.

“Connie has extensive expertise in finance, operations, and data management,” says Sean Carter, President and CEO of NEACH. “This unique combination of strengths makes her an ideal candidate to support NEACH’s continued growth and innovation. We look forward to working with her in this new capacity.”

An active board member since 2016, Loveland brings more than 20 years of community banking knowledge and leadership in strategic planning, treasury management, financial operations, data management, and accounting to her role as board chair. She is known for using her diverse skill set to cultivate productive relationships and teams that drive profitable growth.

“I am honored to serve as chair of the board,” says Loveland. “NEACH is recognized throughout New England for its payments knowledge, and the organization serves as a true partner to its members and other stakeholders. I look forward to helping to shape its strategic direction during this time of continued industry evolution.”

Loveland succeeds Laurance (Larry) A. Selnick, Certified Treasury Professional (CTP), Senior Vice President at Webster Bank in Waterbury, Conn., as NEACH board chair. From 2018-2020, Selnick oversaw much of the organization’s strategic planning process and governance and drove stakeholder engagement. He will remain on the NEACH board and continue to serve on the executive committee.

“Larry brought many strengths to his role as board chair,” says Carter. “His focus on increasing the overall visibility of the board and deepening its engagement through active roles in work groups and committees has been key to our success. We are grateful for his leadership, and we thank him for his tireless enthusiasm and dedication to NEACH.”

“Board engagement and board process has been a cornerstone of the strategic plan review,” reports Larry Selnick. “Having the smooth transfer of leadership to Connie is a reflection of the work and dedication of all the members of the NEACH board who represent its members and are supported by the great team at NEACH. I can’t thank them enough for their work on behalf of the membership.”

Loveland officially assumes the role of NEACH board chair at its virtual board meeting on Wednesday, May 13.
