Exabeam Announces Third Annual User Conference to be Held Nov. 9-11, 2020 as ‘Spotlight20’ Goes Virtual
FOSTER CITY, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–#SIEM—Exabeam, the Smarter SIEM™ company, today announced the upcoming dates for Spotlight20, its third annual user conference, which is heading online as a virtual event this year, hosting customers and partners between Nov. 9-11, 2020.
Spotlight provides the global Exabeam user community the opportunity to come together to learn about common use cases and best practices, hear about upcoming product features and roadmap, and network with peers about shared experiences and to exchange ideas. Spotlight20 will also bring together its partner community for its inaugural Global Partner Summit, where Exabeam executives will share updates to its products and go-to-market strategy with its strategic channel, MSSP and global service partners. Excellence among Exabeam partners will be recognized during the first Partner of the Year awards ceremony.
Returning for its second year, Spotlight20 will also feature the Exabeam Security Management Excellence Awards, recognizing top Exabeam customers that distinguish themselves through excellence in security management across the following categories: SIEM modernization, cloud security, insider threat programs, SOC automation and innovation. Nominees will be judged based on how they have strengthened security within their organizations and the broader security management community. Last year’s inaugural SOC-a-thon will also be making its return to Spotlight20.
This year’s theme is “Actionable Use Cases.” A use case describes how a SIEM can be used to organize data, investigate and threat hunt incidents, as well as make decisions in order to secure against an attack method, for example, ransomware outbreaks, insider fraud or data exfiltration. Attendees will hear about use cases directly from their peers and learn how others in the community are addressing their security challenges with Exabeam solutions.
To meet the unique demands of hosting virtual events, Exabeam is taking steps to make Spotlight20 even bigger and better. Conference experiences will include:
– Monday, Nov. 9: Hands On Workshops enabling attendees to see Exabeam’s behavior-based SIEM technology in action. Practitioners will learn fundamentals and best practices for operationalizing Exabeam. SOC-a-thon participants will also be putting their investigative and creative skills to the test via a series of challenges, competing to be crowned SOC-a-thon champion, with two different sessions to suit attendees across different time zones.
– Tuesday, Nov. 10: Conference begins. The Spotlight20 keynote presentation will include an Exabeam company and platform update and customer panel, followed by Engineering and SecOps tracks featuring customer use cases.
– Wednesday, Nov. 11: Exabeam will share its product vision, advances in community and customer support, and additional sessions in the Engineering and SecOps tracks. Additional Hands On Workshops will bookend a live session of Exabeam’s ‘The New CISO’ podcast, hosted by Steve Moore, its vice president and chief security strategist.
In addition, partner sponsor and regional booths will provide multiple opportunities for community collaboration and networking. Several entertainment activities are also built into the program.
“By all accounts, both our inaugural Spotlight18 and subsequent Spotlight19 conferences exceeded our expectations with engaging presentations by our valued customers and partners,” said Nir Polak, CEO of Exabeam. “Spotlight has become a catalyst for users to interact and network, and we are excited for Spotlight20 to provide another opportunity to extend that momentum.”
Registration is now open, and the general conference is free to Exabeam customers. There is a $395 fee for the Hands On Workshops. The workshops will be facilitated by a team of technical experts and will include interactive, practical lab experience. There will be two different topics covered each day, for a total of six technical topics to choose from. Space is limited to 20 per class.
