“Our strategic alliance with DataStax has been valuable for us and for our clients – realizing highly-available, global-scale advanced analytics and AI solutions connecting decision makers to their data insights,” said Mark White, Principal, Deloitte Consulting LLP and AI Platform Assets Leader for the Government and Public Services industry.

“With the growing interest in Cassandra and Graph data exploitation, companies have new questions to answer in order to unleash the full potential of their enterprise data. As a launch member of the new DataStax Fast 100 program, we amplify our Cassandra capabilities and connect directly to the vanguard of companies adopting and unlocking more value from their data and analytics architectures,” concluded White.

The NoSQL market is expected to be worth $22 Billion by 2026 and Cassandra is the proven open-source, NoSQL database of the internet’s largest applications and hardened by the world’s top enterprises. According to a global survey, the top reasons for using Cassandra are a good hybrid solution (62 percent) and highly scalable (57 percent).

However, 36 percent of practitioners cite a lack of skilled staff as the top obstacle to Cassandra adoption. When asked what it would take for practitioners to use Cassandra for more applications and features in production, they said “easier to migrate” and “easier to integrate.”

Enterprises must learn fast to go fast. The DataStax Fast 100 aligns prequalified partners to enterprises to ensure their success. The program will help enterprises with business modernization, technical migrations, cloud-native data platforms, and various mission-critical use cases.

DataStax has certified more than 2,600 people in Cassandra to help them achieve more with their deployments. Over 30,000 developers worldwide have participated in DataStax hands-on Cassandra training events so far in 2020, including developer workshops, online developer learning and certification programs.

Fast Self-Learning Resources

For the developer who wants to move faster with self-learning, DataStax has various learning initiatives, free to all, including:

  • /dev – A new learning experience for both new and experienced Cassandra users, available at datastax.com/dev. The site features interactive hands-on learning scenarios, where concepts can be applied as they are learned by interacting with a live Cassandra cluster.
  • Developer and Admin Certification – Two certification programs are available to earn the credentials as a Cassandra certified developer or administrator to increase opportunities for career advancement.
  • DataStax Astra – The easiest way to migrate and integrate Cassandra is Astra, powered by an open-source Kubernetes operator. Astra is a simple experience for Cassandra deployment and application development in the cloud. It is designed for developers and enterprises to make Cassandra easier to use with zero lock-in, no-ops, and powerful APIs. On Astra, install and run Cassandra in minutes with a 10 GB free tier.
  • Cloud-Native Cassandra Workshops – Over 30,000 developers have participated in hands-on Cassandra training workshops so far in 2020. Workshops range in topics and are suited for beginners as well as more advanced users. All workshops are recorded and available to watch on-demand from the DataStax Developers YouTube channel.
