Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance Names Sachin Warty & Chris Polechronis to Lead U.S. Financial Institutions Business

BOSTON–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (BHSI) today announced that it has promoted two members of its U.S. Executive & Professional Lines team, naming Sachin Warty as Head of Financial Institutions for the Central and West Region, and Chris Polechronis as Head of Financial Institutions for the East Region.

Sachin and Chris will be leading BHSI’s U.S. financial institutions portfolio, which includes a suite of Management Liability, Professional Liability, Employment Practices Liability, Fiduciary Liability, Crime Protection and Executive Impersonation coverages.

Sachin joined BHSI in 2013 as Assistant Vice President, Financial Institutions. Before that, he was Financial Institutions Zonal Leader at CNA and Underwriter at Travelers Insurance. He holds a bachelor’s degree in English & Philosophy from the University of Dayton.

Chris came to BHSI in 2014, most recently holding the role of Vice President, Executive and Professional Lines, Financial Institutions. Before BHSI, he spent more than a decade at Chubb, and was an Assistant Vice President and Asset Management Unit Manager. He holds a master’s degree in Finance, Leadership and Change Management from the NYU Stern School of Business and a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration & Marketing, from the Questrom School of Business at Boston University.
