Protect Your Office, GHC3 Donate Safety Dividers to Help KIPP Metro Atlanta Schools Open Safely in Accordance with New CDC Guidelines

ATLANTA & MARKHAM, Ontario–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Protect your Office (PYO) has become a partner in the Global Health Crisis Coordination Center (GHC3)’s Back 2 School program to provide safety dividers in schools across Atlanta as well as donated 400 units for the initiative.

The units created for this program were designed with input and criteria from GHC3’s team of global health experts, as well as the KIPP team of administrators and educators, in accordance with the physical barrier and partition guidance recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in their newly released Operational Strategy for Reopening Schools.

“GHC3 and KIPP challenged us to create a plexiglass product that provided the maximum amount of front and side protection while being durable, affordable customizable, and easy to install, and store and ship,” said Mark Petznick, CEO and Founder, Protect Your Office. “As a result, with our partners at Harding Display, we created the custom ‘Protect Your School’ transparent divider which includes side-panel overhangs, fixtures to secure them in place, economical pricing, and the ability to fold flat for portability, storage, and space saving. We are grateful we could help develop solutions for getting students and teachers safely back into the classroom.”

“Our Back 2 School program is a collaborative effort between our global health team, KIPP Woodson Park Academy, and private sector partners to apply school-based public health measures and determine best practices for COVID-19 prevention in a learning environment,” said Ken Berta, Executive Director of GHC3. “Through one school’s experience, we were able to analyze, evaluate, and get a true understanding of the difficulties faced by schools across the U.S. in this pandemic.”

“At KIPP Metro Atlanta Schools, our number one priority is the safety of our students, faculty and families during this pandemic. We are incredibly grateful for this collaboration with GHC3 and the opportunity to ensure a safe environment for our students,” said Dave Howland, Managing Director of External Relations for KIPP Metro Atlanta Schools.
