PALO ALTO, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–TIBCO Software Inc., a global leader in enterprise data, empowers its customers to connect, unify, and confidently predict business outcomes, solving the world’s most complex data-driven challenges. Today, TIBCO announced a packed agenda for TIBCO Analytics Forum (TAF) 2021, a two-day interactive and fully digital experience. The event takes place May 25-26, and will focus on the latest innovations in data management, visual analytics, data science, and streaming analytics in industries such as energy, healthcare, manufacturing, consumer goods, and transportation.

Business leaders and analysts, data scientists, developers, partners, and customers will discuss how to meet today’s digital challenges head-on and hear from keynote speakers from the analytics industry elite such as:

  • Ben Shneiderman, six-time honorary doctorate and emeritus-distinguished university professor, Department of Computer Science, and founding director of the Human-Computer Interaction Laboratory at the University of Maryland: Ben is a leader in information visualization and has made groundbreaking contributions in human-computer interaction and human-centered AI. The progenitor of TIBCO Spotfire® was developed based on information visualization research by Spotfire founder, Christopher Ahlberg, at the Human-Computer Interaction lab, under Ben’s guidance.
  • Ahmer Srivastava, director, memory product solutions for analytics and software applications, Western Digital: Ahmer spearheads strategic initiatives for big data analytics, visual analytics, and predictive analytics solutions for Western Digital’s NAND flash product engineering and manufacturing teams.

Attendees will also hear from customers such as Birchcliff Energy and Biota Technology. TIBCO executives, including Matt Quinn, executive vice president, products and technology; Fred Studer, chief marketing officer; and Michael O’Connell, chief analytics officer, are leading discussions with customers, sponsors, and industry experts to unearth industry megatrends and explore the day-to-day use of data and analytics as a tool to drive sustainable innovation in business.

“Over the past year, we’ve seen data and analytics become even more central to business strategy, tactics, and operations. They are essential in helping customers shape the modern consumer experience and manage their global production, manufacturing, and supply chains,” said Michael O’Connell, chief analytics officer, TIBCO. “At this year’s event, we will hear from some of our most innovative analytics and data management customers, who are integrating disparate data sources and applying data science and visual analytics technologies to produce insights that move the needle for businesses. If we’ve learned anything in 2020, it is that the only trusted truth comes from data and analytics.”

Spotfire® analytics deep-dives and product training, as well as the ever-popular Spotfire® Hackathon, are back again this year. TAF is the perfect platform for users looking to expand their knowledge base on Spotfire analytics and the TIBCO® Connected Intelligence portfolio.
