Diana Holding Reiterates Commitment to New Agricultural Aggregation System in Morocco

RABAT, Morocco–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Les Domaines Zniber, a subsidiary of the Diana Holding Group and a leading agro-industrial company, hosted a conference in Berkane, the citrus capital of eastern Morocco. The high-profile event, which took place on July 8, aims to discuss a new agricultural aggregation system in Morocco, with a focus on the citrus industry and development prospects.


Attended by H.E Mohamed Ali Habouha, governor of the province of Berkane, the event brought together high-level officials and players from the agricultural sector of Morocco, notably:

• Nabil Chaouki, Director, Directorate for the Development of Value Chains (DDFP),

• El Mahdi Arrifi, Director General of the Agricultural Development Agency (ADA),

• Professor Faouzi Bekkaoui, Director of the National Institute for Agronomic Research (INRA),

• Abdellah Jrid, President of the Association of Citrus Producers in Morocco (ASPAM), and;

• Otman Rouchdi, Managing Director of Les Domaines Zniber.

In her speech, Rita Maria Zniber, CEO and chairman of Diana Holding, praised the “leadership and vision of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, who aspires to make Morocco an African agriculture champion, and reiterated its economic, social and environmental commitment to boost the agribusiness industry.”

The event reflects Diana Holding’s efforts to boost competitiveness and position Morocco’s citrus industry as one of the key players on the international scene, and better meet local and global markets’ demands. It also allowed Les Domaines Zniber to showcase their aggregation projects and review the agricultural industry’s development prospects.

A visit was organized to the Berkane Packaging Station at the Domaines Zniber, equipped with high technology machinery to ensure optimal storage, conditioning and packaging of citrus fruits, with a total export capacity of 100,000 tons.
