AnthymTV’s FAST Streaming Service Surpasses Half a Million CTV Downloads

CHARLESTON, SC / ACCESSWIRE / November 12, 2021 / Upstart AnthymTV, a free, ad-supported streaming service anchored by its hit original series X.PD, has quickly sailed past 500,000 downloads on connected TV (CTV) devices.

The company is one of the few streaming outlets that isn’t aligned with a Hollywood or Silicon Valley behemoth. However, the venture was started by Nick Cartier, who successfully spearheaded the launch of Hulu with Live TV (virtual-MVPD). He is a veteran in the growing CTV sector and serves in a hybrid role as CEO & Head of Product for the new company.

Unlike typical FAST services, the company differentiates its offering through its proprietary curation technology that programs dozens of linear television networks on its service. The company is largely built around showcasing independent content creators to a new audience, enabling its mass of viewers to discover new TV shows they never even knew existed. AnthymTV accomplishes this by curating content from a wide range of sources into channels built around themes, such as Outdoors, Comedy, Food, Travel, and Automotive, among many more.

This innovative approach has resonated with viewers. According to the company, key metrics around user engagement and retention have steadily trended upwards since launch indicating AnthymTV is gluing viewers to their TV sets.

Reid Sanders, CFO of AnthymTV, said the service has outpaced many of its internal growth targets since launch, with organic growth providing the key boost. “Our viewers tell us all the time that they started using AnthymTV after hearing about it through word of mouth,” said Sanders. “It reinforces our strategic vision to hear that our users are so excited about the service that they want to tell all of their friends about it.”

Heading into Q4, AnthymTV plans to build on its momentum and accelerate its already exciting growth by expanding to several new distribution outlets, including Xbox, Vizio, Samsung, LG, and Phillips. In addition, the company plans to expand its presence in the emerging technology hub of Charleston, SC (dubbed “Silicon Harbor”) where it moved its headquarters earlier this year. Stay tuned – AnthymTV is a company you will want to keep your eyes on.
