John Alvin is known to be one of the most promising and greatest film illustrators worldwide, his works have touched the hearts of many and inspired fans all around the world. Who is John Alvin?

John’s mission for all of his art was to “create the promise of a great experience.”

The artist has created more than 200 film campaigns. He also received many awards such as Hollywood Reporter Key Art Awards’ grand prize. His well-received art from the movie “E.T.” was the only piece that has been awarded with the Saturn Award from The Academy of Science Fiction, Horror and Fantasy Films.

John is also known for producing creative works for Lucasfilm Ltd.’s Star Wars phenomenon. The Star Wars Concert and Star Wars Tenth Anniversary posters he created are the most collectible Star Wars art. His work, ‘The Phantom of the Paradise’ was also featured in the Smithsonian Museum in Washington D.C. as one of the best posters of the 20th Century. Who is Andrea Alvin?

Andrea started working as an animation layout artist and designer for commercial houses after graduation. Having participated in many national commercials and working as a layout artist for Hanna Barbera, Andrea soon joined her husband, John Alvin, in creating their own design studio. Andrea has contributed to several ads including but not limited to: Batman Returns, Pinocchio, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Mulan and Jurassic Park.

Recently, Andrea moved to New York to further pursue fine arts. Her work, influenced by pop art and photorealism, includes everyday objects that Americans after the era of post-war can deeply relate to. It is described that her art captures a sense of nostalgia in American culture.
