Vision AI company growth driven by product innovation, strategic leadership appointments and an expanding international presence across 120 countries

SAN JOSE, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Kami Vision, the computer vision company that provides AI solutions to enterprise, SMB and consumers, today announced record 817% growth between 2018 and 2021, fueled by strong product demand, strategic leadership appointments and global expansion. Kami Vision now boasts 15 million active devices and 6 million users across 120 countries, including some of its latest product releases such as Pro Security, Smart Detect and Fall Detect by KamiCare.

“Kami Vision’s rapid growth is testament to our ability to exceed the expectations of consumers and businesses alike with fast, easy-to-use and reliable technologies that leverage vision AI,” said Ajay Gulati, CTO of Kami Vision. “Vision AI is constantly evolving, becoming more accurate and predictive, and has endless applications such as healthcare, smart home design, self-driving vehicles, manufacturing and beyond. As we have our eyes set on the future and driving continued growth and product innovation, we’re simultaneously committed to providing the best possible experience for our millions of users around the world.”

Product Expansion

In a recent survey of 1,000 U.S. consumers commissioned by Kami Vision, most respondents are searching for smart and connected video security solutions that are affordable and easy to use. In addition to cost and functionality, Kami Vision’s solutions are designed with feature-rich AI enhancements with the goal of improving quality of life and providing peace of mind for users and their loved ones.

This year, Kami Home expanded its product suite to include Smart Detect and Pro Security, the world’s first AI-powered camera alarm system for the entire home, which includes professional monitoring. Kami Vision also continued to grow its offerings in healthcare through the company’s flagship product, KamiCare, a fall detection solution for senior living facilities and for seniors who wish to age with dignity in their own home. The AI optimizes caregiving with automation by analyzing 30 points on the body and automatically identifying falls as they happen. A team of experts is available 24/7 to analyze and verify the fall, and then alert caregivers to take immediate action.

To demonstrate the power of these solutions and the impact they’re having on customers’ lives, Kami Vision:

  • Manages 248 million daily alerts and 25 petabytes of data
  • Confirms 99.9% accuracy for fall detection and reduces fall risk by 60%
  • Responds within 60 seconds

Executive Team

To fuel continued expansion, Kami Vision has invested in several significant leadership hires, including Shannon Scheiwiller, SVP of Marketing; Sagar Setu, Head of Machine Learning and Terry Costa, VP of Product Marketing. The executive team has also been rounded out with the promotions of Joon Lee to VP of Growth and Brandon Neustadter to VP of Sales.
