January auction set for 1,028 acres of high-quality Knox County farmland

VINCENNES, Ind.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Approximately 1,028 acres of highly productive farmland will be offered at auction Thursday, January 26, with Schrader Real Estate and Auction Company marketing the property and conducting the auction. Possession will be available for the 2023 crop year.

The land, which includes highly productive Ragsdale, Patton and Sylvan soils, will be offered in 14 tracts, ranging in size from three to 206 acres. The property includes well maintained grain handling and storage for 70,000 bushels.

“These are some of the highest indexing soils in Knox County and will be of interest to area farmers, institutional or individual investors, or 1031 Exchange buyers,” said Brad Horrall, co-manager of the auction.

The land is located between Bruceville and Wheatland, near Vincennes.

“These are well located tracts in Knox County, which is known as a highly productive farming area. Bidders will be able to make offers on any tract or combination of tracts, including the entirety,” said R.D. Schrader, president of the auction company.

The auction will begin at 1 p.m. Eastern Thursday, Jan. 26, at Highland Woods Community Center, 1377 Hart Street, Vincennes, Indiana. Internet bidding will be available for those who make arrangements one week in advance.
