KBRA Assigns Preliminary Ratings to Morgan Stanley Residential Mortgage Loan Trust 2022-INV1 (MSRM 2022-INV1)

NEW YORK–(BUSINESS WIRE)–#KBRA–KBRA assigns preliminary ratings to 26 classes of mortgage pass-through certificates from Morgan Stanley Residential Mortgage Loan Trust 2022-INV1 (MSRM 2022-INV1), a transaction collateralized entirely by investment properties. Approximately 57.1% of the subject pool are agency-eligible mortgages, while the remaining 42.9% are non-conforming. The pool comprises 857 first-lien, fixed rate residential mortgage loans with an aggregate principal balance of $367.0 million as of the April 1, 2022 cut-off date. The pool is characterized by significant borrower equity in each mortgaged property, as evidenced by the WA original LTV of 67.7%. The weighted average original credit score is 766, which is well within the prime mortgage range.

KBRA’s rating approach incorporated loan-level analysis of the mortgage pool through its KBRA RMBS Credit Model, an examination of the results from third-party loan file due diligence, cash flow modeling analysis of the transaction’s payment structure, reviews of key transaction parties and an assessment of the transaction’s legal structure and documentation. This analysis is further described in our U.S. RMBS Rating Methodology.
