Centerview Partners Welcomes Mark Tercek as Senior Advisor

NEW YORK–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Centerview Partners, a leading independent investment banking advisory firm, announced today that Mark Tercek has joined the firm as a Senior Advisor based in Washington, D.C. Mr. Tercek is a renowned leader and advisor on environmental, social and governance matters, with expertise in conservation finance, corporate sustainability and impact investing. He will play an instrumental role as Centerview continues to expand its ESG capabilities to better serve clients across sectors.

Mr. Tercek advises companies, investors, and NGOs on their environmental strategies. From 2008 to 2019, he served as CEO of The Nature Conservancy, the world’s largest global conservation organization, where he led a $7 billion fundraising campaign and established its gender, diversity, equity and inclusion (GDEI) department. From 1984 to 2008, Mr. Tercek was a Managing Director and Partner at Goldman Sachs, where he led several of the firm’s practice areas, including Corporate Finance, Real Estate Investment Banking and Equity Capital Markets, as well as the firm’s leadership development program. Mr. Tercek also developed Goldman Sachs’s environmental strategy and led its Environmental Markets Group.

He currently serves on the Williams College Board of Trustees and sat on the Finance faculty of New York University’s Stern School of Business until 2008. Mr. Tercek holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA from Williams College.
